Cursive also tends to be harder for an AI to read. All of this means that you should try to write in print rather than cursive. And when you’re writing notes try to keep letters and words neatly lined up to ensure it’s easy for the app to read.

Background images can also confuse an AI’s pattern recognition. A blank piece of paper, or one with simple straight lines, will usually work best. And paper with background images or grids usually produces the worst results.
